The idea came to François-Paul Journe when he wanted to offer unique chocolates in his Boutiques.
He was looking for a chocolate factory with strict criteria; Genevan craftsmen who shared the same values as him, elevating the craft and the product into a showcase of art, rarity and talent.
ORFÈVE, the first artisanal 100% manufacturer in French-speaking Switzerland, is run by two craftsmen who source and use only the finest ingredients with respect for people, children, ethics and nature. Together, they have worked to meet François-Paul Journe's exacting standards to produce the finest chocolates.
After nearly four months of testing, and dozens of sampling phases, they finally chose François-Paul Journe's recipes, creating two distinct chocolate bars: Amelonado cocoa from Guadalcanal (Solomon Islands) with Espelette pepper and Tamala cinnamon - Gran Blanco cocoa from Alto Piura (Peru) with aniseed and cardamom.
